As an official student chapter of the national American Chemical Society, UCSD ACS-SA is eligible to recieve special recognition for our programs and activities. In past years, the Society Committee on Education has selected UCSD ACS-SA for certain prestigious awards. More information on the Student Chapter Awards can be found below:
For the 2019-2020 year, UCSD ACS-SA was recognized as a Commendable Chapter by the Society Committee on Education.
For the 2018-2019 year, UCSD ACS-SA was recognized once again as an Outstanding Chapter, and also received a “Green Chapter Award” for successfully completing green chemistry activities.
For the 2017-2018 year, UCSD ACS-SA was recognized as one of 69 Outstanding Chapters in the country out of a total of 309 student collegiate groups.
For the 2016-2017 year, UCSD ACS-SA was recognized by the national ACS committee on Education as one of 52 Outstanding Chapters and one of 56 Green Chapters in the country.
ACS-SA also received Student Chapter Awards in the 1998-1999, 1999-2000, 2000-2001, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 academic years, as well as, Green Chemistry distinctions for the 2010-2011, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2015-2016 academic years.
