Become a mentee to receive helpful academic and college advice from upperclassmen and start your year at UCSD with a loaded toolbelt! Become a mentor to share your insights and experience with mentees, and have a mentoring experience that looks great on resumes, extracurriculars, and essays! Chempanions will mutually benefit all members of the program and help our members become more involved in both ACS-SA and the chemistry community here at UC San Diego! Once you’ve met the one for you, fill out our preference form so that you may be paired with your preferred mentor/mentee.

Week 1: Wednesday, September 28th at 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Located: NSB Auditorium
Our Chempanions program kicked off with a social during the first week of the Fall Quarter, where we presented more information about our Chempanions mentor-mentee program and what kinds of mentorship we offer! We ended the event with food and a social section where mentors and mentees could rotate around and get to know each other a little bit better!
Week 2: Friday, October 7 at 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Located: La Jolla Shores
Our Chempanions Bonfire event allowed mentors and mentees to get to know each other even more while enjoying food such as In-n-out, smores, and hot dogs! Glow sticks were given out and we had a great time with various activities such as catching frisbees, tossing volleyballs, or just relaxing on the beach!
